My #daily color block for this week.
I would vary my pants and shoes more but that’s the only pair of pants and the only pair of shoes I have, ahahahaha! And I’m basically testing warmer and warmer outfits against the weather, it has suddenly become so cold that I might have to put the button-up shirts to rest and switch to turtlenecks.
I love adding tiny little cameos of these guys in the backgrounds of chapter 3. They won’t start participating in the actual story until double-digit chapters, but at least I can get then into the comic somehow!!!
I started drawing Bits Fair on August 1st last year, so it’s 1 year old today! During the last 365 days, I drew 132 pages, and what you see up here are some of the ones I like the most, plus the latest one I drew.
I don’t know if my art is better now than it was a year ago, but I definitely started having a much easier time drawing somewhere down the line. I’m not sure how much of that is new though, because I didn’t draw for two years before I started drawing this comic, so I think I had to re-learn how to do things efficiently.
Anyway, I’m hoping to have drawn 200 more pages by August next year!!!
A thread on a comics messageboard inspired me redraw an old comics page.
The page on the left was drawn when I was 16, almost exactly eight years ago. It’s the very first comics page I drew! While the page on the right I drew today, took me three hours or so!
Somehow, this comparison is making me feel worse about myself, instead of the opposite, pfffff. Why did I do such a botch job of that page eight years ago??? Oh well.
(Also, fun fact: I’ve no idea who that girl is and why she needs to hurry. I only ever drew the first three pages of that comic and I don’t remember what the story was about anymore, ahahahaha.)
